AUTOMOTIVE Window Tint

Window Tint in Birmingham, Alabama

Quality window tint does more than change the look of your vehicle. It cuts glare, blocks harmful UV rays, and keeps your cabin noticeably cooler on a hot Alabama afternoon. At Trident Auto Solutions, we install professional grade window film across two performance tiers, so you can choose the level of heat rejection that fits your vehicle and your budget.

Understanding What the Percentage Means

How Tint Darkness Works

Every tint film is rated by Visible Light Transmission, or VLT, which measures how much light passes through the glass once the film is applied. A lower VLT percentage means a darker film and less light coming through, while a higher percentage means a lighter, more transparent look. Alabama law requires front side windows to allow more than 32 percent VLT, so we will always help you choose a tint level that looks great and stays street legal. You can find the full details on the state's tint requirements through the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Our Window Tint Process

Every tint job starts with a full cleaning of the glass to remove dust, finger prints, and any residue left behind from a previous film, so the new tint bonds cleanly with no trapped debris underneath. Our technicians then cut each panel to match your vehicle's exact window shape before applying it with a squeegee process that pushes out air and moisture, leaving a smooth, bubble-free finish.

Most vehicles are ready the same day, though we recommend giving the film 3-5 days to fully cure before rolling the windows down. During that curing window, it is normal to see some light haze or small water pockets, which clear up on their own as the adhesive finishes bonding to the glass.

Comfort in the Alabama Heat

Alabama summers are long, and a quality tint makes a real difference in how your cabin feels after sitting in the sun. A properly installed film can keep your interior noticeably cooler within minutes of getting in, which means less time running the air conditioning at full blast just to make the cabin bearable.

Protecting Your Interior From UV Fade

Beyond comfort, UV rays fade interior trim and upholstery over time, so a good film helps keep the inside of your vehicle looking newer for longer. Dashboards, door panels, and seats that would otherwise crack or discolor under years of direct sun exposure hold their color and texture far better with a quality tint in place.

Pairing Tint With Other Services

Pair your tint with our ceramic coating or paint protection film services for a vehicle that looks sharp and holds up from every angle. Many of our Birmingham clients bundle all three into a single visit, so the whole vehicle gets addressed at once instead of spreading services out over several appointments.

Privacy and a Finished Look

More Than Just Heat Reduction

Wide white banner with small turquoise accents near the top left and top right edges

Beyond comfort and UV blocking, tint adds a layer of privacy and security that many drivers value just as much as the performance benefits. A tinted cabin makes it much harder for anyone walking through a parking lot to see what is sitting on your seats or in your console, which matters whether you are running errands, parked at work all day, or leaving the vehicle overnight. That same privacy carries into the evening, when a well tinted cabin keeps headlights and street lights from lighting up the interior every time you stop at a red light. For a lot of our clients, that added sense of security is just as big a reason to tint as the heat rejection itself.

A consistent tint level across every window also gives your vehicle a more finished, factory look, which is part of why so many Birmingham drivers choose to tint every window rather than just the front two. Whatever combination you choose, our technicians install with clean edges and no visible bubbling, so the finished result looks as good close up as it does from across the parking lot.
